In the bonds and derivative market, there are circumstances where in data needs to be extracted from multiple PDFs and Excel Formats, to fill the same into the Database. Manually doing this wastes a large amount of time. This is the same problem our client faced. Web Access’s answer for it is DataSpan.

A few years ago, when we were growing, we realized the need of a software to automatically create salary slips for our employees. We searched the net to purchase one, but were unable to find a cost effective and simple solution.To us, the answer was obvious. Create one that will serve our needs. And that was how the Customized Document Generator or the CDG as we referred to it was born. We implemented it and it was super successful. Salary slips were now being sent electronically to all employees in a few minutes.And CDG was forgotten.

TileMarine is a web based application on which I am currently working.

At the beginning of this project, we had a big question: “Which technology we should be choosing for developing our application?” Having lots of well experienced and competent seniors proved to be a benefit as we discussed & easily came to the conclusion to use ‘Java Struts technology’. The reason being the friendly and neat MVC Architecture of Struts, in which the central ‘C’-controller part works as an interface between ‘M’-model (all coding/manipulations part) & ‘V’-view (all design part). Thus if we wish to change the Design Layer, we would only have to modify the Design Layer and rebuild it, “without changing anything" in the Model Layer and vice versa.

An article appeared in the Yahoo! India News section dated 12^th April 2006, which applauded CiviCRM for bringing about a change into the CRM world.

Being Open Source and free, the Non-Profit organizations view CiviCRM as a blessing bestowed on them for managing contacts and other information of the donors, donations, and information about people involved in it. What’s more? CiviCRM is scalable, meaning, it can be improved further and redistributed. It also has a mass mailer that will leave you awestruck. The fact that a basic training of 3 Hours in CiviCRM can get the User started in using it, comes as another surprise.
