CDG - Simplify life

A few years ago, when we were growing, we realized the need of a software to automatically create salary slips for our employees. We searched the net to purchase one, but were unable to find a cost effective and simple solution.To us, the answer was obvious. Create one that will serve our needs. And that was how the Customized Document Generator or the CDG as we referred to it was born. We implemented it and it was super successful. Salary slips were now being sent electronically to all employees in a few minutes.And CDG was forgotten. Until a recent visit to a client office in Chennai. During a lunch break, a conversation led to how their admin took 3 days to create salary slips. And an idea was rediscovered. It suddenly dawned upon us that CDG was not something that was required just by us, but might have a larger appeal. And we decided to productize and re-design CDG from an in-house utility to a product.

The beauty of the product is in its simplicity. Create a template in Word. Why Word ? Because that’s what most of the business world uses. Create your dynamic data in Excel or any other program and save as csv ? Why Excel or csv ? Once again, because most of the world uses these formats ? Map to the users who you want to send it to. Their names and e-mails are already in the csv. And depending on your net connection 100’s of these customized mails, have been dynamically generated, saved as pdf’s and e-mailed to the marked recipients.We could go on and on, about the features and possibilities of this simple software.
