IL&FS created a design team led by Prof Kirti Trivedi, an educationist and designer of international repute, the creator of K-Yan, the world’s first compact media center. The brief of K-Yan Design Center was clear. Redefine education to shift from teaching by teachers to learning by students. The team had a mandate to do RandD for two years and come up with a road map for future teaching and learning devices.

Prof Trivedi decided to take this a step further. He along with his talented team at K-Yan Design Centre and Web Access which comprised of talented designers and brilliant technologists built software that could actually convert the dream into reality.

And thus was born the learning environment and also the Web Access Innovative Learning Solutions Practice. The learning environment called K-Class was followed with two supporting products, K-Creator, that allowed students to create their own books and presentations. And K-Content, that allowed teachers to create extremely interesting and complex content that seamlessly integrates with K-Class.

K-Creator
K-Creator is a scratchpad designed for children in which they can draw or write anything using different brush and styles and it can be then published in a book format.

K-Class
K-Class is an Advanced Learning Management System including multimedia (audio / video / animation) library, book library, CLOs (Comprehensive Learning Objects). KClass is also a content management system.

K-Content
K-Content is a content creator and viewer tool. One can create presentations including multimedia contents (audio/video/animations) along with high end text formatting and graphics.
