Title: Development Engineer (DE)

If you want to work with a great team of developers and have the skills to succeed, you may be a candidate to join the WA team.

This position is located in any one of the following cities: Stamford/Connecticut, NYC, Newark, New Jersey.

This position will report to our Project Manager, Team Leader and is responsible to do designing and coding of various modules of the system as per the defined framework and architecture, and solve technical problems, conduct testing and ensure quality and on time delivery. Work on client support related tasks when required.

The Job Itself

Candidate must be able to develop and maintain complex web applications in PHP and JavaScript with limited or no supervision.

The development engineer has experience with concepts, practices, and procedures commonly used within the software development field. The development engineer has to follow disciplined software development practices. Typically takes work direction from a Group Leader or Project Manager.

Responsibilities: 

1. Project Execution or Development

  • To prepare low level design documents
  • Prepare and execute test cases.
  • To develop prototypes
  • To development software

2. Process Adherence

  • Follow QMS
  • Participate and implement defect prevention and software process improvement activities in the project.

3. Technical

  • Coding and resolving any technical issues of the project
  • Software testing
Requirements and Qualifications: 

The successful candidate will possess:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience development and managing IT projects and support.
  • Knowledge of the latest development trends in the IT industry
  • Proven development ability /experience- minimum 3 years in IT development.
  • Knowledge of project development and offshore development process.
  • Hands-on experience on technologies like PHP, Drupal, Joomla , Moodle, CiviCRM,
  • Strong knowledge of Web Application technologies (PHP,  HTML,  JavaScript,  XML,  AJAX,  CSS)
  • Databases like MySQL and interfaces like PHPMyAdmin and MYSQLYog.
  • Have sound knowledge on PHP and OOPs concepts.
  • Have working knowledge of CMS Like Drupal, Joomla, WordPress.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
